I’m Ritika, an artist, photographer and storyteller...

After graduating with a business degree, I worked in Advertising and Communications for 5 and half years. During COVID something in me shifted and after much contemplation, I decided to take the leap of faith to pursue my long time passion Photography. I graduated from the One Year Conservatory in Photo Arts at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles and since then I’ve been living the life of a photographer currently based out of Bangalore, India.

Photography to me always seemed like my calling because it served as a path for the internal to meet the external. It has been a channel to demonstrate expression and emotion, which is why I’m most drawn to Portraiture and Storytelling. Through my work, I try to bring out emotions, stories, inclusivity, diversity and most importantly authenticity. Something that I try to emulate in most of my work is a sense of ‘feeling’ and I do my best to give the subject the power in the photograph and bring out their personality in the portrait.

Making photos to me is all about the experience and the process of being completely present while shooting. Something that fascinates me about the world of photography is the ability to bring to life my vision and document momentous occasions. 

I’m always documenting everything but when I’m not taking photos, I’m probably reading, running, swimming, traveling or spending quality time with friends and family while binging on some good food!
